We recently had guests from N.Y. state that came for a visit. These ladies were so friendly are we were so happy to take them on one of our special marsh tours. They were kind enough to share some of the photos they took. Thank you Bonnie, Maureen, and Carol.

Apple Snail
Apple Snails are found in the swamp. These species of snails are very important to the eco-system.
Many birds rely on this large snail. The protected Snail Kite is one such bird and is the primary food source for them. Limpkins are another species of bird that eat them as well as use the shells on their nests to attract mates. You will often see piles of these shells in nests all around the swamp. This close-up photo was taken on one of our tours.

Oh Babies...
These cute little gators are all over the swamp right now. Many have been seen in the last few weeks by our guests as well as staff. All of us here feel very blessed every time we take a tour ourselves and get to share this experience with our guests.
This photo was taken by one of our guest. Thank you Marg.
